Stripers, or striped bass, are one of the most sought after inshore game fish of New Jersey. We begin our search for stripers in early April and run through May. The spring season is based around the spawning migration of stripers to and from the Delaware River. We also fish for them in the fall; beginning in Novermber and running through Christmas. The fall run seems, as of late, to be the best time to be able to put a good catch together. These are great eating and great fighting fish. We use many different tactics to catch stripers including  live bait, dead bait, trolling, and jigging according to the conditions.
